Half Marathon Training Plans

With the Athlone Half Marathon being so flat your going to be aiming for a PB. And to help even more with that we’ve got running coach Michael Murphy on board to help us and you. Michael has put together plans to break 1hr 30mins, break 1hr 45mins and break 2hrs.

Coach Also for the less experienced of you here are Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced 12 week training programs for you to follow. So if your a first timer or seasoned runner we have the training plan to suit your needs.


10K Training Plans

A running group meet every Sunday morning at 08:30 at Kilmartins roundabout. We started these group runs in 2013, they were hugely successful and popular and have been kept going by a hardcore “flatline” group! All abilities are welcome. We run as a group, chatting to each other and encouraging each other to reach their goals.
